The UK/France Culture Spotlight 2024 programme includes projects from the bilateral programmes Fluxus Art Projects, Diaphonique, and Magnetic, managed in partnership with the Institut français, the Ministries of Culture and Foreign Affairs, the four Arts Councils of the UK, Culture Ireland, and other public and private partners.
Fluxus Art Projects
Fluxus Art Projects supports emerging artists and curators in their international careers by funding exhibitions and curatorial visits on both sides of the Channel.
In the second part of this programme, you will find eight exhibitions supported by Fluxus Art Projects, including Neon Forms (After Noh) by Cerith Wyn Evans at the Centre Pompidou Metz, as well as Air de Repos (Breathwork), a group exhibition at the CAPC in Bordeaux in November.
Diaphonique
Diaphonique supports collaborative projects between France, the UK, and Ireland in the field of contemporary classical music. It funds commissions, concerts, tours, residencies, and educational projects.
The programme aims to foster the development of sustainable relationships between French, British, and Irish musical institutions, to give new momentum to artistic creation through support for commissioned projects, and to assist emerging artists and composers in their professional development.
Magnetic
Magnetic brings together ten venues offering eight-week residencies, allowing French and British artists to research or create in the partner country. By pairing residency venues in the four nations of the UK with venues in various regions of France, Magnetic establishes a new network of partner institutions with shared values and commitments.
