British Council

The British Council offers a range of exams to suit the needs of schools, institutions and employers to assess levels in English or for international mobility. Your students can take the exam in one of our test centres, or in some cases we can arrange to run the exam on your premises. If you require more information regarding how to organise an exam for a large number of candidates, find out more using the links below, or contact us for more information.

IELTS for schools and institutions

Over 10,000 organisations in 140 countries rely on IELTS to help select the right people, including universities, professional and industry associations, and multinational companies and employers. You can also apply for your organisation to become an IELTS recognising organisation. The British Council can help you organise a session in your premises and help your teachers understand the test.

Linguaskill

Linguaskill is used by businesses and institutions to assess the language skills which are needed for the workplace. Available online or paper-based, Linguaskill is a multilingual testing solution which can help companies during the recruitment process, for placement in a training programme or in decisions regarding promotion. Linguaskill can also be a requirement for obtaining a degree: e.g. the ‘Commission des Titres d’Ingénieurs’ is advising its students to take Linguaskill in order to get the level of English required for the achievement of their degree in engineering.
