For the 2025/26 academic year, the British Council is offering eleven master’s scholarships, across various subjects for students from France, in partnership with UK universities.

Each scholarship is worth at least £10,000 towards tuition fees for a one-year postgraduate course.

Scholarships are jointly funded by the UK government’s GREAT Britain Campaign and the British Council, together with participating UK higher education institutions. Worldwide, for the 2025/26 academic year, 200 GREAT scholarships are available to students from 15 countries, offered by 70 UK universities.

This is the first year that GREAT Scholarships have been open to students from France.
