Bannière Talks in English
Date
Friday 04 April 2025 - 19.00
Location
British Council

This talk is in part a continuation of a previous one on the BBC. Our teacher and resident historian, Simon Handy, will respond to questions about the use of humour on the BBC during WW1 and WW2.

The talk focuses on the development of humour, both official and unofficial, through WW1 and the impact on WW2 comedy.

It will finish with a look at the post WW2 comedy landscape.
