L’OLYMPIADE CULTURELLE DE LA JEUNESSE – DANSE DES JEUX
18 May and 21 June
Throughout the year, students and teachers from the Conservatoires of the City of Paris and the Pôle Supérieur Paris Boulogne-Billancourt have enthusiastically embraced Hofesh Shechter's dance for a major inclusive project as part of the Olympiade de la Jeunesse 2024. The London-based choreographer, globally recognised as one of the most electrifying artists of contemporary stage, is renowned not only for his soundscapes but also for his highly physical movements. This culminates in a presentation at the Theatre de la Ville on May 18. On June 21, a group of young dancers involved in the project will perform at various locations in Paris to showcase the result of their work inspired by Hofesh Shechter's movement. Making a stop at the Palais de la Porte Dorée for an explosive performance in the Forum, they will kick off the 2024 Fête de la musique.
