The United Kingdom is the guest of honour at the 10th edition of the Forum Entreprendre dans la Culture, organised by the Ministry of Culture. From 11 to 13 June 2024 at the Ecole nationale supérieure d’architecture Paris-Belleville, culture professionals will have the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas during a rich programme featuring 90 round tables and workshops.
Organised by the French Ministry of Culture since 2015, the Forum Entreprendre dans la Culture aims to recognise the value of cultural entrepreneurship and share practical and concrete information on programmes or initiatives which encourage employability in the cultural sector.
The event attracts 2000+ entrepreneurs and culture sector professionals, supporting them in their careers and the organisation of their business or activity, as well as students and recent graduates wishing to undertake entrepreneurial activity within the cultural sector, and institutions or cultural partners wishing to share reliable information with their networks.
Conceived collaboratively by bringing together young graduates, entrepreneurs, artists, cultural experts, and administrators, the themes of each Forum respond to confirmed needs and expectations within the sector. Sharing experiences of cultural entrepreneurs and advice from cultural experts, the Forum offers on average 90 round tables and discussions on both sector-specific and cross-cutting topics, such as funding, support, infrastructure, economic and cultural models, corporate and social responsibility, environmental challenges, international development, and the evolution of the cultural sector facing new uses of and transition to digital technology.
In 2024, the 10th edition of the Forum Entreprendre dans la Culture will take place from 11-13 June, at the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris-Belleville. The UK is the first country to be invited as guest of honour, as agreed by the bilateral summit of 10 March 2023. Key speakers will share the country’s expertise, experience and innovation in the creative industry sector, and showcase the best of UK innovation and creativity, audacity, diversity, and inclusion through creative sector entrepreneurship. The British Council has been working with the Ministry of Culture for the past 9 months on the programme shaping the thematic focus of the Forum, identifying topics and speakers from the UK and areas of mutual interest for collaboration in the creative and cultural industries. It is also assisting UK speakers in coming to the Forum.
Registration and participation in the meetings are free and open to entrepreneurs, artists, authors, creators, technicians, experts, project leaders, recent graduates, and students. Discover a selection of 7 round tables not to be missed by reading our blog.
These promising exchanges will undoubtedly allow the French and British cultural sectors to exchange ideas and mutually inspire each other.
