This event was aimed at French Higher Education Institutions representatives. The British Council, in partnership with UUKI and the French Embassy in London presented an update on the UK HE system and successful partnerships between UK universities and French Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).

13.30-13.35 Opening by Anne Duncan, Director British Council France
13.35-13.50 Charley Robinson, Head of Global Mobility, UUKI talked about the HE system in the UK, the different funds available for HE partnerships (including Horizon Europe) and the TNE options for French HEIs in the UK
13.50-13.55 Carole Hemard, Project Manager Education, British Council France presented British Council programmes for researchers in France and student mobility programmes.
13.55-14.10 Minh-Hà Pham, Counsellor for Science and Technology, and Damien Vialle, Higher Education Attaché, French Embassy in London talked about the different schemes for UK and French students, academics and researchers and the governmental discussions taking place between the UK and France in research
14.10-15.00 Case studies of successful HE and research partnerships between the UK and France since Brexit:
- UCL-PSL Doctoral Research Internship Scheme
- ESCP to talk about the benefits of a French campus in the UK
- ESCOM – Bradford/Hull/Belfast/Cardiff as an example of a regional engineering school in France having multiple partnerships with UK universities
- AMU – Glasgow to talk about European Alliances
