Formed in 1992 by world-renowned jugglers Sean Gandini and Kati Ylä-Hokkala, Gandini Juggling continues to be at the vanguard of contemporary circus, reinventing and reinvigorating juggling for the 21st century. Gandini Juggling celebrates juggling in all its facets, exploring not just what juggling is, but what juggling can be. Currently, an ever-evolving ensemble made up of a virtuosic core group of jugglers, they regularly expand to include up to 20 performers for specially commissioned events and performances.

Since their inception, Gandini Juggling has performed over 5,000 shows in 50 countries. They continue to perform at many of the world’s most prestigious festivals and venues. In March and April 2024, Gandini is performing extensively across several venues in France in four of its flagship shows: Smashed, Smashed 2, Les Quatre Saisons, Rollercoaster.

Smashed

You are cordially invited to a tea party that you will never forget…

Smashed takes a witty look at forbidden fruit and the fraying relationship between seven men and two women. Traditional juggling meets contemporary circus alongside 100 apples and a troupe of masterful performers.

A series of nostalgic, cinematic scenes explore conflict, tense relationships, lost love, and afternoon tea. Set against a soundtrack featuring popular songs ranging from Tammy Wynette to Music Hall and Bach.

Les Quatre Saisons

In this show, the brilliant and gifted violinist Gilled Apap, a true free spirit of the international stage, dares, embroiders, and improvises with total freedom around Vivaldi's Four Seasons. And to completely break with classical patterns and transgress codes, he surrounds himself with six jugglers from the company who reinvent the art of juggling with creativity and contagious joy. Notes, clubs, balls... will fly in all directions, engaging and moving bodies to the virtuoso and spirited sound of Gilles Apap's violin. A wildly inventive spectacle, extremely delightful for both the eyes and the ears.

Rolercoster by Wes Peden

Ultra-modern pop-punk juggling.

Surrounded by huge inflatable blue structures and accompanied by electro beats composed of distorted rollercoaster sounds, Wes Peden performs original tricks inspired by rollercoasters and their high-tech seatbelts. A spinning plate ceremony becomes a celebration of the great rides of the past; an epic 3 ball disco juggling evokes the evolution of rollercoasters; a 4-meter transparent tube turns into a path around Wes’ body to make balls flow through loops, helixes, and corkscrews.

Rollercoaster twists theatrical rules to create a safe space place to perform some of the most difficult and unique juggling ever done on stage!
