Anne Hamon is one of the 5 laureates of the 2022 Entente Cordiale for Climate scholarship. She is currently studying for a Master's degree in Environmental Policy at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Having grown up in Spain, I left Barcelona in 2018 to pursue a Bachelor in Political Science at the University of Montreal in Canada.
Throughout my studies, I undertook courses like Politics of the Apocalypse, Environmental Policy, Sociology of Work, of Gender, etc. I became fascinated on how the approach we have to nature and the relationship we have with the environment tremendously reveals the underlying problems of our societies.
This, combined with my university and community involvement in Quebec's environmental movement, have allowed me to grow a profound interest in the link between social and environmental justice. This is the reason why I chose to pursue my Master's degree in Environmental Policy and Regulation at the London School of Economics and Political Science, in order to enhance my understanding on how to implement green and socially fair policies.
As a franco-spaniard, joining the Entente Cordiale for Climate’s community represents for me the chance to contribute to reinforce existing links between France, the UK and most importantly, the European Union. All of these are essential to accelerate international cooperation for a Green transition.
